I was a Visual Arts educator at the secondary level for 33 years. I honed my craft in that capacity and in workshops under the guidance of many gifted potters. I am currently a member of the Kawartha Potters Guild.
I work in slab, treating the clay like a piece of paper on which I manipulate shapes, textures and eventually colour to create surface tension, rhythm and, for the most part, an asymmetrical composition. At that point I consider function and complete the work.
The earrings are a new adventure for me, made with sterling silver ear wires for your safety and comfort. I hope you enjoy them.
